Fall 2006 Wine
Club
We moved
the Club release date up so your wines are ready for pickup as of
today!
2004 Super Tuscan 221 cases
produced Wine Club exclusive. A beautiful and graceful
wine that blends the best of Sangiovese and Merlot together;
reminiscent of the great reds of Northern Italy. Aromas of ripe
cherry and strawberry from the Sangiovese and blackberry from the
Merlot meld perfectly with cinnamon and sweet tobacco from the
barrels. The rich tannins from the Merlot soften the palate and make
room for the lively fruit of the Sangiovese. A great wine with all
your classic Italian dishes. Very Limited. Club Price:
$31.41
2004 Chardonnay Leslie's Estate
Vineyard, Santa Cruz Mountains 157 cases produced. Wine

Montebello Road is a big wine. Barrel fermented in french oak, sur
lees. Hints of tropical fruit and spice merge with a buttery and oak
flavor. Balanced acids and a prolonged finish. Enjoy this wine with
a creamy seafood pasta, Alaskan King Crab with drawn butter or a
soft cheese. Club Price: $21.21

Only Club Members…

Our Gift to
You...
Please enjoy our
gift of one of our favorite books we sell in the Tasting Room
"Cool Stuff They Should Teach You In School". We are so proud
of the authors Kent & Kyle Healy who were raised here on
Montebello Road and are just two of the many local youth we have
provided work experiences for over the past 8 years. Our owner
Leslie's children have worked alongside her at the winery since it
was re-opened as Picchetti Winery in 1998, and over 20 other local
youths been given work and provided opportunities to do just what
the book title states – learning all the valuable lessons in life
through a multitude of job experiences made available to them at
Picchetti Winery (from farming, to production and customer service.)
We are so proud of so many of them. Michael Bruzus and Jason Becker
are now learning how to become winemakers at San Luis Obispo.
Cameron Pantling is at Sonoma State earning a business degree in
Winery Management, as well as working for the Department head
helping host wine industry seminars in Sonoma. Mattie Pantling is
just graduating from the Cordon Bleu Program and hopes to go on and
specialize in food and wine pairings. Ben Maples took a different
path – he is in Mechanical Engineering at the University of
Colorado, but tells us he is going to come back and engineer a giant
underground parking structure to help with our parking. The list
goes on. Please share this book with a deserving youth and make sure
you flip through it yourself first, as many adults have told us they
have found helpful things in it for all ages. Additional copies
available at the winery for $14.95. The website for the book is http://www.coolstuffmedia.com where you can find out
more about the authors and read some of their great reviews
including:
"I've read a lot of books for young people,
but this is the best one yet!" Jack Canfield,
Co-author, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and Chicken
Soup for the College Soul
"Kent and Kyle Healy are
young people who have a grasp on what it takes to survive and thrive
in the world. They were entertaining, energetic, and informative
during an interview and they bring a message that is new and
exciting. Each time they have been on my KGO Radio show, I've been
swamped with e-mails, faxes, and calls from listeners of all ages,
saying how impressed they are with their wisdom and practical
advice. Their message needs to be heard and I have been glad to help
in that effort." Joanie Greggains, KGO Radio, San
Francisco
MEET THE AUTHORS AT PICCHETTI! The
authors will be at Picchetti Winery on September 9th from 12 noon
until 2pm If you would like to meet them or have them sign your copy
of Cool Stuff.
